The spirit of sabotage is working overtime behind the scenes to devise and execute its diabolical plans to cause destruction, death, devastation and forfeiture of God-ordained promises, positions, and possessions, etc. Its tactics are not overt therefore it is able to operate undetected.
The spirit of sabotage collaborates with other spirits to hamper you, hurt you, and to purposefully and intentionally subvert you. To "subvert" means "to overturn or overthrow from the foundation”; “to pervert or corrupt by an undermining of morals, allegiance, or faith”; to “ruin”; “to try to destroy or damage something, especially an established political system.”
Dr. Cindy Trim exposes the activities of this spirit in her book The Rules of Engagement starting on page 245 (bullets added):
"The Spirit of Sabotage operates as strong demonic influences that drive people to abort the progress and success of divinely ordained projects, purposes, relationships, organization, self, potential and destinies.
It stirs up jealously, resentment and suspicion, and is often vindictive toward the person who detects its presence. Sabotage can make you both victim and perpetrator so that even when you pronounce judgment on others you both expose and pronounce judgment upon yourself.
This spirit is so skillful it will use you as a pawn and a puppet on a string, prohibiting you from detecting its hand upon you and the strings that manipulate you. Working with familiar spirits, who act as their reconnaissance, informing them of breaks in hedges of protection, strengths, weaknesses and proclivities of both the perpetrator and victim, its plan is a well-thought-out plan.”
Any action or activity in the life of a believer that results in abortion of progress, success, projects, purposes, relationships, organization, self, potential and destinies can be traced back to the spirit of sabotage. This spirit’s operation is clearly seen in the fall of man in Genesis resulting in “man” forfeiting their God-ordained position and authority through deceptive tactics. The spirit will use anyone and anything, including the individual who is being subjected to its tactics to accomplish its objective - to steal, kill, and to destroy you and everything connected to you. Just as it used Eve to get to Adam, don’t be surprised when the spirit uses your spouse, children, friends, coworkers, business partner(s) and even other believers to try and sabotage you. The enemy used one of Jesus’s closest disciples, Peter to try and sabotage God’s will for Jesus. In Matthew 16:22, “Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee” speaking of Jesus’s death on the cross. Jesus turns to Peter and address the spirit operating through Peter stating, “...Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men” in verse 23. Jesus was aware of the enemies tactics therefore he was able to respond appropriately by speaking to Satan, the author of the attack.
But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.Now that we have been informed about this spirit, we have a responsibility to act. Jesus said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” in Luke 10:19. In addition, Matthew 18:18 exclaims, “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Mark 11:24 states, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Based on the unchangeable, immutable, and infallible word of God, we have authority through the name of Jesus to take authority over th
e spirit of sabotage to bind its works from taking root and bearing any fruit in your life. God desires for you to prosper as your soul prospers, and the walk in dominion and authority in the earth. Take a stand against the spirit of sabotage in your life, the lives of your loved ones, your city, state and country. You have Jehovah Gibbor, The Lord Mighty In Battle backing you!
Prayer to route the spirit of sabotage:
Father, I thank you that you are Jehovah Gibbor, the Lord strong and mighty in battle. There is no failure in you and I thank you that you have given me authority through Jesus to bind every demonic force on assignment against me and everything that concerns me. I take authority over the spirit of sabotage in Jesus name and I bind all of its abortive, destructive, and devastating tactics in my life and the lives of my loved ones and community, as well as the church of the living God. I decree that every plot and plan will be exposed, confounded, foiled and come to naught. I exercise divine authority over this spirit and take captive every enemy and cast them out of my territory and region back to sender. I thank you Father that no weapon formed against my prosperity and productivity will not prosper. No spiritual demonic anesthesia or act of subtility will cause me to abort, miss or forfeit my God-ordained assignment, position, or season. I thank you Father for every promise over my life; that it will come to pass, and that I will become and do all that you have destined me for in the name of Jesus, Amen!
